Gossip at Collins Barracks: Stage times, setlist, ticket information, how to get there and more

They got their band back together, released a new album and now punk revivalists Gossip are set to rock Dublin as part of their European tour.
The American trio – Beth Ditto, Nathan Howdeshell and Hannah Blilie – released Real Power earlier this year, their first studio album since 2012, which Ed Power described as “a Valentine to defiance and the quiet victory of putting your life back together” in his interview with lead singer Ditto.
The band will be celebrating their comeback and other milestones during the gig, which is part of the Wider Than Pictures concert series, at the historic Collins Barracks on Tuesday.
If you’re planning to attend the concert, here’s everything you need to know.
Gossip play at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, Dublin, on Tuesday, August 27th.
Gates open at 6pm with the first support act kicking things off at 6.30pm. A second support act will take to the stage at 7.30pm before Gossip at 8.45pm.
Ticketholders are in for a treat with two support acts scheduled to warm up the crowd. American indie-pop band Nation of Language will perform on the night and, having released three albums between 2020 and 2023, there is no shortage of material they could play. Irish band Sprints will also take to the stage and will surely perform songs from their debut album, Letter to Self, which was released earlier this year.
Organisers have recommended using public transport where possible, and suggested the Luas as the quickest and easiest way to get there.
By Luas: The closest Luas stop is Museum, which is on the Red Line.
By train: Heuston Station is just a short stroll from the venue.
By bus: Dublin Bus has several routes that stop near the venue, including: 124, 39, 39A, 60, 782 and C2.
Be ready for a mix of everything – old favourites, tracks from Gossip’s new Real Power album and maybe even some covers too. Here is the setlist from their recent gig in Bonn, Germany, which should give an idea of what to expect at their Dublin concert.
At the time of writing, there are still some tickets available on ticketmaster.ie. If these sell out, keep an eye out for resale tickets.
Entry into the concert is through Liffey Street West. The event is over-18s only. Fans have been advised to have their IDs available and their ticket ready before entering the grounds.
Bags must be A4 size or smaller and all fans will be subject to searches. The concert promoters have asked concertgoers to respect the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, as a national landmark, and be patient when entering and exiting the grounds.
For the safety of everyone at the concert, the following items are prohibited: fireworks, Chinese lanterns, flares, high-power torches, laser pens, alcohol or drugs, animals (except guide dogs), anything which could be considered an offensive weapon, umbrellas, high-visibility clothing and bicycles.

Professional photography equipment is not allowed, and this applies to drones, selfie sticks and cameras with detachable lenses. Anyone using professional cameras close to the stage may be intercepted by security, and organisers have recommended fans to use best judgment.
Unfortunately the weather is not looking the best. Rain is forecast for Tuesday until the evening time, with highest temperatures of 19 degrees. With it being an outdoor concert, don’t forget your raincoat!
